About The Position

Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring a skilled Lead Trailer Technician/Mechanic to join our team in Stone Mountain, GA. This role offers competitive hourly pay, weekly paychecks, and full benefits within 30 days. The position involves performing preventive maintenance and repairs on class 7 - 8 trailers, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, conducting inspections, documenting repairs, and maintaining a clean work area. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to own and maintain personal tools.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ of hands-on experience performing class 7 - 8 trailer maintenance and repairs
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position
• Ability to successfully pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and DOT physical if required for the role

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on class 7 - 8 trailers
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
• Accurately document repairs and complete work orders
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including your tools and equipment
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations
