About The Position

This role involves leading crews in shop and on the jobsite, ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include overseeing team members daily, being available for phone calls, reading plans and creating efficient job completion plans, reviewing and coordinating project plans, setting up work zones with appropriate safety standards, controlling traffic, and breaking down and cleaning up work zones upon completion. The role also requires operating equipment such as Forklifts, Skid Steer, and Truck & Trailer combos, performing other assigned duties, maintaining and operating equipment, and being responsible for quantity sheets.

Requirements

Ability to identify problems/issues, generate solutions and make sound decisions using standard procedures.
Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain, and dusty environments.
Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
Report to work at the designated start time.
Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
Be able to work overtime when required.
Must have strong work ethic
Ability to work in a team setting
Strong verbal and written communication skills; Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, contractors and the general public in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
Must have a valid drivers license
Pass pre-employment drug screen.
Pass a pre-employment DOT physical.
Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co–workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas.
Be at least age 18 years of age due to nature of working environment.

Nice To Haves

Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
3+ years’ experience in the construction field or prior traffic control experience.

Responsibilities

Setting up the work zone using the appropriate safety standards
Controlling traffic
Breaking down and cleaning up the work zone upon completion of the operation
Operate equipment, including Forklifts, Skid Steer, Truck & Trailer combo
Perform other duties as assigned
Maintain and operate equipment
Responsible for quantity sheets
