About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Trade Services Specialist within Commercial Banking Operations. In this role, you will mitigate risk to the bank and the customer to ensure customer satisfaction by processing letter of credits. You will lead the review of complex reformatting, drafting, advising, and amending standby letters of credit that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. You will provide recommendations on existing policies, practices, and procedures, and implement complex letter of credit structure, documentation, governing rules, internal policies, and credit risk implications. You will make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring understanding of rules and regulations, governing letter of credit products with a full working knowledge of standby letters of credit. You will strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals. You will own and manage high-priority and complex escalations through resolution, ensuring accountability and timely outcomes. You will serve as the single point of coordination among Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Front Office stakeholders. You will lead rapid incident triage efforts to assess impact, identify risks, and establish resolution strategies. You will drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and long-term remediation plans to prevent recurrence. You will provide clear, concise, and consistent status updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders. You will facilitate cross-functional collaboration to resolve issues impacting clients, processes, products, or systems. You will act as a subject matter expert (SME) and provide guidance, coaching, and leadership to operational teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Trade Services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of Standby Letter of Credit Experience
  • 2+ years of leadership experience including; coaching, training, and mentoring
  • Customer service focus with experience actively listening, eliciting information, comprehending customer issues/needs, and recommending solutions
  • Demonstrated problem solving and independent decision-making skills
  • Experience and/or ability to provide training and support to internal teams
  • Subject matter expert supporting trade operations teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and minimizing operational risk.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience
  • Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Extensive experience in Operations, Incident Management, Escalation Management, Risk Management, or related disciplines
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and resolve complex, high-impact operational issues
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • High degree of independence, accountability, and ownership
