About The Position
The Learning Experience – Upper West Side is seeking an experienced Lead Toddler Teacher to support children during an important stage of language development, independence, and social-emotional growth. This role focuses on creating engaging classroom experiences through structured routines, hands-on activities, and positive teacher-child relationships.
Requirements
- Prior toddler classroom experience preferred
- Strong classroom management and teamwork skills
- Must meet New York State childcare licensing requirements
Nice To Haves
- BA or AA in Early Childhood Education preferred, CDA accepted
Responsibilities
- Lead classroom routines for toddler-aged children
- Support language development and early social interaction
- Implement developmentally appropriate learning activities
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment
- Guide assistant teachers and support classroom consistency
- Communicate regularly with families regarding routines and milestones
- Follow New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements
