About The Position

The Learning Experience – Bushwick is seeking a caring and experienced Lead Toddler Teacher to guide our young toddler classroom. This role focuses on supporting children during one of the most important stages of development by creating a nurturing environment that encourages language development, exploration, confidence, and secure relationships. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who enjoys leading a classroom while making a lasting impact on young children's earliest learning experiences.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred, CDA accepted
• Candidates with 5+ years of classroom experience and a high school diploma will also be considered
• Previous toddler classroom experience preferred
• Strong understanding of child development and responsive caregiving
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Must meet New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead daily classroom routines for children ages 12–24 months
• Implement developmentally appropriate activities using the L.E.A.P. Curriculum
• Support children's language, social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
• Mentor assistant teachers and promote classroom consistency
• Build strong partnerships with families through daily communication
• Maintain compliance with New York State and NYC licensing requirements
