About The Position
The Learning Experience - Brooklyn Bushwick is seeking experienced and nurturing Lead Toddler Teachers to join our early childhood education team. Our toddlers are building language, independence, confidence, and social skills every day. We're looking for teachers who can create a warm, structured classroom where children feel secure while having plenty of opportunities to explore, play, and learn.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education OR Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education OR CDA credential OR High school diploma or GED plus at least 5 years of relevant early childhood experience
- Previous toddler classroom experience strongly preferred
- Strong classroom management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Meet applicable New York City childcare requirements

Responsibilities
- Lead daily routines and learning experiences in a Toddler classroom
- Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
- Create engaging activities through art, music, movement, sensory play, stories, and exploration
- Support language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development
- Encourage independence, self-help skills, and positive peer interactions
- Support meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions
- Maintain consistent routines and positive classroom guidance
- Observe children's development and maintain required documentation
- Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families
- Guide and collaborate with classroom support teachers
- Follow applicable New York City childcare requirements
