About The Position
Come join us at The Baltimore Montessori - Locust Point as a Lead Toddler/Primary Montessori Teacher! The shift is 9 am - 6 pm. As a Lead Montessori Teacher, you will develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum following the Montessori pedagogy, plan engaging activities to promote cognitive, social, and emotional development, and assess and documenting your student's progress.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Montessori Teacher Certification Required
- 1 year prior experience working in a certified child development center (1 year preferred)
- 90 clock hours or equivalent of approved early childhood coursework - MSDE certification
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with parents and other staff members is required
- The ability to be patient, collaborative, creative, and passionate about Early Childhood education is essential for this role
Nice To Haves
- Bachelors or Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development / CDA Certified preferred
- Montessori credentials preferred; a willingness to learn and follow the Montessori philosophy is required
