The Boeing Company's Test & Evaluation (BT&E) division is seeking a Lead Test and Evaluation Engineer (LTEE) to support Commercial and Government Satellite Systems programs in El Segundo, California. This role is based in a facility that is home to Boeing's satellite business portfolio, including the world's largest dedicated satellite factory with over 1 million square feet of integration and test facilities. The LTEE will lead teams working on complex technical challenges for satellite communications programs, acting as the systems engineering authority for test. This involves interaction with various engineering disciplines such as GN&C, T&C, Propulsion, RF & Digital Payload, mechanical engineering, and specialty engineering, including environmental test labs. The position requires strong technical, communication, and relationship-building skills, along with systems engineering expertise. The LTEE will be responsible for Verification and Validation planning and compliance throughout the lifecycle of a space vehicle product line, from contract acceptance through launch site. This includes constant awareness of vehicle configurations, schedules, and test execution, influencing a successful test program, and working closely with Systems Engineering and Space Vehicle Test Directors. Safety of personnel, the space vehicle, procedures, and factory equipment interfaces are critical considerations. The LTEE serves as the technical authority for Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), Design Reviews, Integration Readiness (IRR), and Post Test Reviews (PTR). As a leader, the LTEE is expected to coach, train, and mentor peers and team members.
