About The Position
The Lead Telemetry Technician - Monitor Room - Nights position is a full-time role within the Monitor Room department, working nights. The schedule involves three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am. The work location is UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham. This role involves leading assigned staff in performing activities and tasks of the telemetry department, coordinating shift operations, serving as a technical resource, and monitoring compliance with policies and procedures. The position also involves overseeing training and potentially providing input on staff performance evaluations.
Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Responsibilities
- Lead assigned staff in performing activities or tasks of the telemetry department.
- Lead or coordinate shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or associates.
- Serve as a technical or functional resource and perform similar duties with staff.
- Assign, monitor and review progress of work.
- Monitor and report compliance with policies and/or procedures.
- Oversee and evaluate orientation and training of assigned associates.
- May provide input in the review and evaluation of staff performance.
