About The Position

The Lead Technician will perform a variety of tasks ranging from fabrication, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of electrical and electro-mechanical equipment. Will demonstrate knowledge in all types of electronic test equipment, and (using schematics and prints) identify failure root cause of these types of equipment down to the component level. Responsible for selection and ordering of replacement components required for equipment repairs, preparation of reports, and development of various procedures. Expected to learn the operation of all test machines and their proper maintenance, perform repairs as necessary to pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electrical systems, be able to set up test stations efficiently per engineering or divisional instruction.

Requirements

  • AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience
  • Knowledgeable in all types of electronic test equipment
  • Experience using schematics
  • Experience identifying failure root cause of types of equipment down to the component level

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to program PLCs
  • Experience with LabView or Visual Basics
