About The Position

The lead field technician is responsible for managing the day-to-day jobsite performance of field technicians. This person will have to install/service systems independently while checking in on active larger projects. This position is to ensure installations assigned to them will be installed in a professional and accurate manner meeting all the requirements of the project scope. This position may require long hours and out of town travel to a multitude of locations, including new construction sites, schools, offices, and factory environments. The role also involves working in various weather conditions, both outdoors and indoors.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years industry experience
  • Excellent professional communication and organizational skills
  • Team player with strong Commercial Awareness
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent time management skills and results-oriented performance
  • Demonstrates ethical integrity while completing essential functions
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • Ability to pass a background screening
  • Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report with favorable results

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day jobsite performance of field technicians
  • Install/service systems independently while checking in on active larger projects
  • Ensure installations assigned will be installed in a professional and accurate manner meeting all project scope requirements
  • Ensure all devices are installed where designated
  • Ensure all programming is complete before leaving site
  • Keep sales informed if they need to be involved with changes to scope
  • Keep up on trainings on core product lines and ADS installation techniques
  • Run service calls and troubleshoot customer equipment
  • Manage inventory for service calls and job installations
  • Work with project managers on completion and scheduling of ongoing projects
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager and/or Vice President
  • Monitor and manage onsite labor to deliver a project on time and as designed
