About The Position

The Lead Maintenance Technician keeps the physical structure, appearance, and associated equipment of the Club in good working order by performing various maintenance and repair duties. This role involves training and overseeing other technicians, assisting with work orders, and potentially performing facility manager duties in their absence. The technician will be responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and finishes. They will also be involved in pressure washing, driving company vehicles, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment, while also performing additional tasks as requested by leadership.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, or GED preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in all aspects of commercial building maintenance and repairs
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including possible evenings and weekends
  • Able to use all types of tools and equipment efficiently and safely
  • Able to adapt to changing work priorities
  • Able to communicate and work with a diverse group of people
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be able to read, write and speak in English well
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a Country Club or resort is a plus
  • Fluent in Spanish is a plus
  • Certifications in trades a plus
  • CPR/AED/First Aid certification a plus

Responsibilities

  • Train, mentor, and oversee the work and projects of maintenance technicians to ensure timely completion and quality of work.
  • Assist with creating and/or organizing work orders and general maintenance tasks.
  • Assist or complete facility manager duties in their absence.
  • Perform or assist in preventative maintenance programs.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including light switches, receptacles, breakers, motors, light fixtures, bulbs, ballasts/drivers, and ceiling fans.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing systems including faucets, sinks, drains, toilets, urinals, flush valves, and water valves. Clear plumbing blockages using a plunger, hand snake, or electrical drain snake.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair carpentry elements including cabinet repairs, wood and metal doors, door hinges, closures, locksets, light furniture repairs, picture and mirror installation, and shelving installation.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair finishes including small drywall repairs, priming and final coats of paint using brush, roller, or sprayer, wallpaper, and textured surfaces.
  • Pressure clean buildings, walkways, and cart paths, and assist in drain line jetting.
  • Drive a golf cart or company truck/van.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workshop, club, and workspace.
  • Perform any additional tasks as requested by Facilities leadership.
