About The Position

A Lead Technician serves as the senior technical expert, supervising staff, managing maintenance schedules, and ensuring operational efficiency for equipment or systems. They require 3-5+ years of experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and leadership abilities, with responsibilities including mentoring juniors, implementing safety protocols, and handling complex technical repairs.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in a relevant technical field.
• High school diploma
• Deep knowledge of specific machinery, software, or systems (e.g., HVAC, IT, automotive).
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Specialized certifications (e.g., A.S.E. for automotive, HVAC, or IT certifications) are required.
• Lifting up to 30–100 lbs, bending, and working in various environments.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field is often preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and mentor junior technicians, coordinating daily work activities.
• Diagnose, install, and maintain equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
• Oversee technical projects, manage maintenance schedules, and uphold safety policies.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, resolving complex technical issues that subordinates cannot.
• Maintain detailed service records, reports, and manuals.
