About The Position

Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Technician to join our dynamic fleet service team. This role is ideal for a diesel mechanic, refrigeration technician, or lead technician with a passion for leadership and hands-on technical work. The Lead Technician will manage and guide a team, ensuring the fleet runs at its best. Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Technician and/or Supervisor
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Obtain a toolbox and required tools
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on quality and safety

Nice To Haves

  • Diesel mechanic experience
  • Refrigeration technician experience

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing shift operations, ensuring work is completed on time and to high standards
  • Assigning tasks to technicians and managing the flow of work
  • Answering customer service calls, assisting with needs, and creating work orders
  • Ensuring safety and compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Troubleshooting and repairing refrigeration units using OEM software, reading codes, and diagnosing electrical issues
  • Handling repairs for minor and major truck and trailer systems: fuel, coolant, electrical, drivetrain, brakes, suspension, and more
  • Conducting PM services on trailers, refrigeration units, and APU units
  • Performing FHWA/DOT inspections on trucks and trailers
  • Brake and ABS brake system replacements
  • Tire repairs and replacements for trucks and trailers
  • Structural, rear door, and electrical trailer repairs
  • Performing APU repair and troubleshooting
  • Performing road service work, servicing company vehicles, and maintaining equipment
  • Maintaining a clean and organized shop environment
  • Leading by example and adhering to company and customer standards
