About The Position

We're hiring an experienced Lead Technician (also known as a Lead AV Technician, Lead Low Voltage Technician, Senior Home Automation Technician, or Residential Integration Specialist) with deep expertise in pre-wire, trim-out, programming, and field service. This isn't a commercial electrical or commercial AV role. This is high-end residential smart home work — programming Crestron, Control4, Lutron, Savant, or Elan systems, calibrating premium A/V, and delivering flawless luxury living experiences in multi-million dollar homes. As a Lead Technician, you'll be hands-on in the field, guiding installations, troubleshooting issues, and mentoring junior technicians while coordinating closely with project managers. You'll set the standard for quality and precision — from pre-wire through final programming — ensuring every detail is done right the first time.

Requirements

  • Residential AV/Integration experience: Pre-wire, trim, and finish expertise in luxury home automation, custom AV, or low-voltage installation.
  • Programming skills: Hands-on experience with one or more platforms — Control4, Crestron, Lutron RadioRA / HomeWorks, Savant, Elan, Josh.ai, or similar.
  • Networking knowledge: Wired/wireless networking, VLAN configuration, managed switches (Araknis, Pakedge, Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti).
  • Service experience: Diagnosing and resolving smart home system issues quickly and professionally.
  • Ability to read residential construction plans and adapt installations accordingly.
  • Deep understanding of low-voltage wiring fundamentals and residential construction techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in premium-quality craftsmanship.
  • Professional communication skills — able to represent BRAVAS confidently to homeowners, builders, and trade partners.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training, CEDIA certification (ESC/IST), or low-voltage license a plus.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check.

  • Perform service calls and troubleshooting with a client-first mindset across Naples and the Southwest Florida market.
  • Read and interpret residential blueprints, construction plans, and low-voltage schematics.
  • Install and calibrate whole-home AV systems, in-wall and in-ceiling speakers, subwoofers, distributed audio/video, and structured cabling (CAT5e, CAT6, coax, fiber).
  • Serve as the lead point of contact on job sites — coordinating with Project Managers, general contractors, electrical contractors, and other trades.
  • Maintain accurate job documentation and daily updates in project management software (D-Tools, ServiceTitan, or similar).
  • Mentor junior technicians and apprentices, modeling best practices, craftsmanship, and professionalism.
  • Safeguard client confidentiality and ensure smart home system and network security best practices.
