As a Lead Technician, you'll be a technical expert ensuring our building's critical mechanical systems operate at peak performance. This hands-on role is essential to maintaining a safe, comfortable, and efficient work environment for our team. You'll leverage your mechanical expertise to troubleshoot complex issues, perform preventive maintenance, and execute repairs across HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Requirements

4+ years of experience
High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience
Experience in PC competency to include: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Demonstrated working knowledge with conveyors, HVAC equipment including chillers, boilers, and air handlers
Advanced proficiency in plumbing systems, repairs, and installations
Valid driver's license
Strong technical knowledge of pipefitting, pumps, motors, and mechanical systems
Applies extensive knowledge and company policies to complete a wide range of assignments
Demonstrates expert understanding of all levels of the job family and has thorough knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibility
Takes the lead in effectively applying new processes and skills in accomplishing assignments
May provide technical guidance and training to others
Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications
Works on complex problems that require independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issue
Makes recommendation for new or revised processes and has a role on the implementation
Adheres to all quality guidelines
Works with minimal degree of supervision
Has latitude to make decisions in exceptional circumstances within established guidelines
Provides guidance to less experienced team members
May have team leader responsibilities but does not formally supervise

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment including, not limited to conveyors, HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, air handler units, & split systems.
Perform light electrical, plumbing repairs, installations, and system maintenance throughout the facility
Execute pipefitting work, pipe running, pump repairs, and motor maintenance as needed
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all mechanical building systems with proper documentation
Track and store department inventory
Promote a safe working environment by following Cardinal Health’s safety procedures
Test and maintain backflow prevention devices to ensure compliance and system integrity
Complete carpentry work and general building maintenance tasks to support facility operations
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations
