About The Position

ElevateBio is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician. The successful candidate will be detailed oriented, organized, and have a strong desire to learn. Key responsibilities will be operation and maintenance of GMP Facilities, Utility and HVAC systems, performing or overseeing vendor performed maintenance on GMP Utility systems, process equipment and clean room infrastructure in a highly regulated cGMP environment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • 6 + years of applicable experience in a GMP or another regulated environment is preferred
  • Ability to multitask and always maintain professionalism
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow SOP, P&ID’s and work instructions
  • Strong communication skills in both oral and written reports
  • Ability to lead and mentor less experienced technicians
  • Must be capable of working in controlled clean room environments, adhering to special gowning requirements. This includes wearing protective clothing covering the head, face, hands, feet, and body, along with personal protective equipment as per safety protocols.
  • Must be able to consistently work 8-hour shifts on-site.
  • Must be available for overtime, weekend work, and holidays with appropriate advanced notice as work demands.
  • Support On-Call schedule as necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Trade school or undergraduate education is preferred
  • Professionally Licensed in any of the following areas desirable: Wastewater Treatment, Plumbing, Electrical, Refrigeration is preferred.
  • Experience working with Blue Mountain RAM or other CMMS programs preferred
  • Experience with Siemens Building Management System, Allen-Bradley Process Control System or other control systems is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage the completion of all maintenance work assignments.
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements to include detailed documentation of work performed in both electronic and written form.
  • Reports any maintenance failure or issues immediately to management.
  • Evaluates equipment performance and makes recommendations to maintenance performance or system design.
  • Seeks to continuously improve maintenance practices.
  • Interpret P&IDs, equipment/system layouts, wiring diagrams, and specifications to plan and perform maintenance and repair activities.
  • Provides support during planned shutdowns.
  • Routine performance of maintenance on process support systems and equipment including but not limited to: Pumps, Valves, Autoclaves, Centrifuges, Reactors, BSC’s, compressed gases, HVAC equipment, Chilled Water System (chillers, cooling towers, etc.), Reheating Water Systems (High Efficiency Boilers, Pumps, etc.), RO Water Systems, etc.
  • Operation of GMP Utility and HVAC systems, such as Process Chillers, Boilers, Air Compressors, Purified Water, Pure Steam Generator, Air Handlers, Energy Recovery Units, and Building Management System (BMS)
  • Conducts rounds of GMP and non-GMP equipment and systems
  • The continuous improvement and development of maintenance practices and SOPs.
  • Escorting contractors and vendors for the performance of preventative maintenance and repairs on process/utility support systems.
  • Maintains all spaces clean and orderly.
  • Supports quality systems for CAPA, Deviations and Change Management.
