We are seeking a strategic and experienced Technical Product Manager to drive transformation initiatives within our Lyric Next Gen Product. In this role, you'll drive and lead efforts to design cross cutting end to end solutions that span Payroll, HR, Time, Talent and Benefits. You will be responsible for analyzing complex business problems and proposing innovative solutions, ensuring that software development aligns with the overall business strategy To thrive in this role, you will need to have a thorough understanding of the technical aspect of our work and work well autonomously. You must take command of your product, lead multiple team's efforts, and be a deep listener who can ask the right clarifying questions to help understand the problem your team is trying to solve. You'll work closely with Agile teams of talented developers, where you will leverage your years of experience to deliver sophisticated and detailed design requirements to the engineering team. You understand product delivery cycles. You have experience explaining the prioritization of a product roadmap, creating that roadmap, and documenting in a way that both external and internal teams will understand. You have held roles where you regularly communicate and defend ideas to a broad audience of stakeholders. Requirements

  • You have 2-5 years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.
  • You'll have a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent.
  • Has a deep understanding of technology to engage with cross-functional team members.
  • Knowledge of Payroll & HR
  • Experience with Jira / Confluence for planning, documentation, and tracking.
  • Strong background in cross-functional coordination, testing cycles, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

  • You will bring clarity of vision and forward-thinking product ideas to get our engineering teams excited.
  • You'll start each day with a scrum, working in a team of 3-5 developers, a program manager, and yourself. Your primary focus is to understand developer issues and turn those issues into a set of requirements. You will have an active part in shaping the product. Our agile team uses Jira for agile tracking and ceremonies and works in two-week sprint cycles.
  • Your problem-solving skills are essential in this role. You will identify problems, find and present solution sets, and then translate solutions into requirements for the engineering team to execute. Your ability to design roadmaps and create requirement documents in Powerpoint/Google Slides are crucial to your team's success.
  • You'll create strong alliances with diverse stakeholders and ensure everyone is in this together and communicates most appropriately. You'll collaborate with other product managers since much of what we solve cuts across functions within the platform. You understand the overall priority of work and how to achieve goals to make everyone successful.
  • Although you don't need to code in this role, you must know how to communicate with engineers and other technologists giving them confidence you understand their challenges. Our best product managers can translate easily between technical and non-technical teams, so both parties are clearly understood. As an example, you'll be responsible for translating user-specific issues for the development team.
