About The Position

We are a private 122 bed psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health care and chemical dependency counseling services. We are looking for exceptional Lead Behavioral Health Technicians to join our team! The hours for this position are: Float, 7:00 AM TO 7:30 PM. The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) functions as an active and integral part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients. The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) works under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) will take and record vital signs properly. Monitor each patient's location per the Observation Policy and Procedure. Utilize sound judgment during assessment and observe and documents any changes in a patient's appearance, behavior or ability to work toward treatment plan goals. The BHT communicates changes in patient's condition to the nurse.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED as well as a combination of behavioral health education and work experience totaling 4 years; or an Associate degree plus two years or work experience in a behavioral health; or a Bachelor's degree in social services or related field.
  • CPR certification upon hire and must be renewed on an annual basis.
  • Successful completion of (SAMA) including restraint and seclusion policies, within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
