About The Position

Desert View Hospital is a 25-bed, acute care hospital set in a rural community. Desert View provides safe and competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. We provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times. Responsible for the analysis of laboratory specimens and subsequent result reporting according to laboratory protocol and procedures. Acts as general supervisor over assigned lab activities. Able to work effectively with minimal supervision.

Requirements

BSMT(ASCP) or equivalent as defined by CLIA’88
5 years’ experience as Medical Technologist
at least 3 years in departmental modality assigned to as Lead Tech.
General bench tech skills required to provide coverage in all modalities
Nevada State Licensure as general supervisor
ASCP or equivalent board registration upon hire.
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide high quality of patient care appropriately (specific age competent).
Must possess appropriate people skills, organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Analysis of laboratory specimens and subsequent result reporting according to laboratory protocol and procedures.
Acts as general supervisor over assigned lab activities.
Able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
Provide coverage in all modalities.
Act as a resource for others.
