About The Position

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center (LWRMC) is an award-winning, acute-care hospital accredited by The Joint Commission, consistently ranking high in quality, safety, and patient satisfaction. The medical staff includes over 750 physicians and allied health professionals. LWRMC has expanded its services, including emergency services, general and robotic surgery, maternity care, breast health, cardiology, orthopedic surgery, stroke, sleep medicine, urology, and wound care. This role assists in providing quality care to surgical patients, maintaining equipment, rooms, and supplies under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The position performs scrub duties, assists in the maintenance of instruments, equipment, and supplies for the urology specialty. It involves organizing and pulling case carts, gathering procedural needs, and contacting industry representatives when necessary. The role also assists in supply chain management, including ordering supplies, maintaining PAR levels, organizing the supply room, and following the flow of procedures. The Lead Tech acts as a resource for existing and new employees related to the specialty and consistently demonstrates Service Excellence. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited School of Technical Training.
1 year of relevant experience required.
Able to scrub all surgical procedures.

Nice To Haves

Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs scrub duties and assists in maintenance of instruments, equipment and supplies for area of specialty.
Organizes and pulls case carts and gathers procedural needs for same day and following days’ procedures, contacting industry reps when necessary.
Acts as a resource for existing and new employees related to specialty.
