About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Lead Restoration Technician / Crew Chief with strong IICRC alignment to oversee field mitigation projects and lead restoration teams in accordance with IICRC S500 and S700 standards. This role is ideal for a technically skilled restoration professional who understands drying science, leads from the front, and holds teams accountable for quality and compliance. Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in restoration, mitigation, or disaster recovery
  • Demonstrated leadership or crew lead experience
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift 70+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments
  • Availability for emergency response and on-call rotation

Nice To Haves

  • IICRC WRT and FSRT required; ASD, AMRT, or additional certifications strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of drying science, psychrometrics, and material behavior
  • Experience with insurance-driven restoration and adjuster coordination
  • Proficiency in restoration documentation and job management software
  • Experience assisting with job scoping, supplements, and scope validation

Responsibilities

  • Lead water damage restoration, fire and smoke mitigation, and related remediation projects
  • Direct daily jobsite operations for technicians and subcontractors
  • Perform and verify moisture inspections, moisture mapping, and psychrometric calculations
  • Determine appropriate drying, cleaning, containment, and deodorization strategies in coordination with Project Management
  • Set up, monitor, and adjust drying, filtration, and air scrubber equipment
  • Oversee controlled demolition and removal per approved scope
  • Enforce PPE usage, containment, and cross-contamination control
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with IICRC standards and company SOPs
  • Document moisture readings, equipment placement, job progress, and photos using restoration software
  • Communicate professionally with customers, adjusters, and internal teams
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate technicians at all skill levels
