About The Position
The Learning Experience – Tuckahoe is seeking an experienced Lead Teacher to guide our 2-year-old classroom during this important stage of development. At The Learning Experience, our teachers create joyful classrooms where children build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning. Through our L.E.A.P. curriculum, we support early language development, social skills, and structured routines that prepare children for preschool success.
Requirements
- 12 credits in Early Childhood Education
- CDA credential
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education
- Experience working with toddlers required
- Must meet New York childcare licensing requirements

- Lead classroom experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead a 2-year-old classroom with structure, warmth, and consistency
- Implement lessons aligned with the L.E.A.P. curriculum
- Support language growth, independence, and social-emotional development
- Guide toileting routines and daily classroom transitions
- Partner with assistant teachers to maintain classroom quality
- Communicate regularly with families about progress and milestones
- Maintain compliance with NY childcare licensing standards
