About The Position

Join our passionate, professional team as a Lead Teacher at The Gardner School of Cambridge! We are seeking individuals committed to fostering a love of learning in children within our state-of-the-art preschool. We are an academically focused preschool serving children from 6 weeks to 5 years old, dedicated to stimulating their physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development. We offer extensive training, orientation, and continuing education programs. With locations in 8 states and a commitment to growth, we strongly believe in providing internal paths for promotion and rewarding our teachers with opportunities to gain experience within our privately-owned company. We seek faculty members who are passionate about the early childhood profession and possess a strong, positive curiosity about life that inspires confidence and joy in those around them.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in ECE or related; or Associate's Degree in ECE or related, with 9 months of experience; or High School Diploma, with EEC-approved courses and 36 months of experience.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • 2+ years of early childhood education experience (lead or co-lead experience preferred)
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Intermediate PC skills and proficiency with general administrative tasks.
  • Active engagement throughout the day including standing, sitting on the floor, bending, and lifting up to ~60 lbs.
  • Ability to fulfill cognitive and interpersonal aspects of a classroom leadership including speaking, hearing, reading, writing, focusing attention, and building relationships
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
