About The Position

Land of Learning in Sycamore is a licensed childcare center seeking Lead Teachers to support the Preschool age group. The role requires a CDA or at least 6 ECE college-level credits, the ability to pass all background checks, and previous childcare experience is a plus. The required shift is Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. Compensation ranges from $18 - $20/hour, based on education and experience. Responsibilities

Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Use our parent communication app efficiently.
Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
