About The Position

Children of America (COA) is a nationally accredited preschool with over 65 locations in 18 states, serving children aged 6 weeks to 12 years. As a Lead Teacher, you will join a team of dedicated educators in a supportive environment that fosters professional growth and encourages a passion for early childhood education. COA's programs include Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K, Before & After Care, and Summer Camp. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 credit hours in Early Childhood Education
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a licensed childcare setting
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Must meet all state licensing requirements
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff
  • Flexible and adaptable in challenging situations
  • Commitment to professional growth

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out daily lesson plans
  • Assisting in creating a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
  • Communicating professionally with parents, children, and team members
  • Utilizing technology to document and deliver child progress reports
  • Exhibiting empathy toward children's emotions and parents' needs
  • Presenting age-appropriate expectations for children
  • Being creative, passionate, and engaged in your work
  • Leading classroom instruction using COA's Mind and Body Matters curriculum
