About The Position

Surfside Academy of West Palm Beach is seeking a Lead Teacher to create a positive learning environment for preschool students. The teacher develops and implements age-appropriate curriculum, plans engaging activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development, and assesses and documents student progress. The role also involves helping lead innovative learning activities, ensuring children’s safety and well-being, monitoring their development, and creating a harmonious environment for children and fellow teachers. The school offers a supportive environment and resources for educators, along with education incentives and career development programs. Surfside Academy is part of Endeavor Schools, which operates more than 100 schools in 14 states. The pay range is $16.50–$19.00 per hour.

Requirements

DCF 45 Hours Part I and II completed and shown on DCF transcripts.
School Readiness (SR) Preservice hours completed and shown on DCF transcripts.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with parents and other staff members.
Ability to be patient, collaborative, creative, and passionate about early childhood education.

Nice To Haves

CDA credential.
First Aid/CPR certification.
Previous experience.
Bilingual English and Spanish.
