About The Position

The Learning Experience - Cascade is looking for an experienced Lead Teacher for their 2-year-old classroom. This role involves providing consistency and positive guidance to children, creating opportunities for exploration, play, communication, and skill-building. The teacher will manage daily classroom activities, implement the L.E.A.P. Curriculum, and foster social-emotional development.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous professional childcare or early childhood classroom experience required
Must meet Michigan requirements to serve as a Lead Caregiver
Dependable, patient, energetic, and confident managing a classroom

Nice To Haves

Experience with toddlers or 2-year-olds strongly preferred
CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, degree, or other qualifying credential preferred

Responsibilities

Lead daily classroom activities, routines, and learning experiences
Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
Engage children through sensory play, art, music, movement, stories, language, and imaginative play
Encourage communication, independence, and self-help skills
Support social-emotional development and positive peer interactions
Use positive guidance and developmentally appropriate classroom management
Support toileting, diapering, meals, rest time, and daily routines
Observe and document children's developmental progress
Guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers
Build positive partnerships with families
Follow Michigan licensing and center requirements
