About The Position

Clever Bee Academy is seeking a dedicated, nurturing Lead Teacher to create engaging learning experiences and maintain a safe, supportive classroom environment. This role includes a $2,000 sign-on bonus and is a great opportunity for an early childhood professional who values consistency, growth, and meaningful work. As a Lead Teacher, you’ll lead day-to-day classroom activities, support assistant teachers, and partner with families to help children thrive from infancy through school-age.

Requirements

18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of experience working with children in a licensed childcare center or comparable setting
Ohio Career Pathways Level III or Child Development Associate (CDA) certification upon hire
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Must be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available for this position

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field
Current CPR and First Aid certification
Warm, professional communication style with children, families, and coworkers
Strong classroom organization and time-management skills
Solid understanding of child development and age-appropriate practices
Collaborative mindset and positive attitude

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum for infants through school-age children
Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
Lead and support assistant teachers and classroom aides
Observe, document, and maintain accurate records of each child’s progress and development
Communicate regularly and effectively with families and center staff
Use strong organization, time management, and child development knowledge to support daily classroom operations
