Requirements

Some courses completed in Early Childhood Education or related field.
Current Qualifying Letter/ Ability To Obtain A Qualifying Letter- (North Carolina requires this- candidates who are offered a position receive instructions, this process involves a making an appointment for a criminal background check and receiving a letter which typically takes about a week to ten days but some individual circumstances can vary).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children.

Nice To Haves

NCECC (Credentials), or Equivalent
1-2 years of previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred.
Experience with classroom management of medium to large groups of toddlers to preschool aged children, depending on the age of children could range from 12 to 24 with a co-teacher, and from 5 to 13 at times by yourself, depending on ages.
