About The Position

We are looking for a passionate Lead Older Toddler Teacher who will positively impact children's lives and make a difference in early childhood education to join our team. Our lead teachers are responsible for coordinating the daily operations of assigned classes. Teachers will plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for childcare in a safe environment. Teachers work directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service. Observe children’s interests and work with other teachers to develop creative ideas for an engaging curriculum. Communicate with parents daily, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions. Requirements

  • Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred, or working towards one
  • Either an Associate's Degree or a Bachelor's Degree
  • 6 months or more of previous experience working in a childcare facility
  • Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, parents, and faculty members
  • Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multitasking to ensure smooth school operations
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the daily operations of assigned classes.
  • Planning, presenting, and evaluating educational and recreational activities for childcare in a safe environment.
  • Working directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service.
  • Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Supporting each child’s social and emotional development.
  • Establishing positive and effective family relations.
  • Working with the assistant teacher and in conjunction with the entire faculty.
