The Lead Teacher Trainer position at Chess Wizards plays a key role in aligning our instructors' performance with our customers' expectations, serving as a vital stepping stone toward future management opportunities. In addition to fulfilling the responsibilities of our top instructors, the Lead Teacher Trainer takes on the added challenge of assisting in the training, development, and coaching of other instructors. This role involves leading fun, interactive chess classes for elementary students, guiding activities, keeping students engaged, and redirecting behavior when needed. Lead Teacher Trainers are expected to set an example for the Chess Wizards experience for kids, parents, school administration, and colleagues, aligning with the company's mission statement. The position requires availability during after-school hours at least 4 days per week, with a preference for 5 days during peak program weeks. Classes typically start between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm, with teachers arriving 15 minutes prior to the program start time and staying until all students are safely dismissed. Lead Teacher Trainers are paid per class, with compensation adjusted for longer class times. They are also the first choice for day camp opportunities during school breaks. The role includes assisting the local Area Manager with program and instructor visits for coaching and quality control, training and evaluating instructors, troubleshooting program challenges, completing evaluation reports, communicating with supervisors, and engaging with school administration and parents for feedback, customer service, and marketing. Full training, ongoing support, a complete curriculum, and materials are provided. This position is based in Atlanta, GA.
