About The Position

Chess Wizards is hiring a Lead Teacher Trainer in Atlanta, Georgia. The role combines teaching chess to elementary students with helping train, develop, coach, and evaluate other instructors. Lead Teacher Trainers serve as examples of the Chess Wizards experience for children, parents, school administrators, and colleagues, and support program quality and customer service in alignment with the company’s mission. Classes are typically about one hour, with instructors arriving 15 minutes early for setup and remaining until students are safely dismissed to an authorized adult. A typical paid class period is approximately 90 minutes, including setup, instruction, and post-class responsibilities; longer official class times receive additional pay. The schedule is after school, with availability required at least four days per week and a preference for five days during peak fall, winter, and spring program weeks. Lead Teacher Trainers are also the first scheduling choice for day camps during winter, spring, and summer breaks. Chess Wizards provides full training, ongoing support, curriculum, and materials. Applicants must submit a resume describing relevant experience and complete a required application questionnaire.
