The Lead Teacher Trainer at Chess Wizards leads fun, interactive chess classes for elementary students and helps ensure instructors’ performance meets customer expectations. Alongside the responsibilities of a top instructor, the role assists with training, developing, coaching, and evaluating other instructors, and supports the local Area Manager with program visits, quality control, customer conversations, and resolving program challenges. Classes typically serve 10–15 students and take place after school. The position requires availability at least four days per week during after-school hours, with five days preferred during peak fall, winter, and spring sessions. Class start times vary by school and are usually between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Teachers arrive 15 minutes before class to set up and remain until students are safely dismissed. Typical paid class time is approximately 90 minutes, including setup, instruction, and post-class responsibilities; longer official class times pay more. Lead Teacher Trainers are the first scheduling choice for day camps during winter, spring, and summer breaks. The role also involves communicating regularly with a supervisor, completing class evaluation reports, interacting with school administrators and parents during site visits, gathering feedback, and assisting with customer service and marketing. Chess Wizards provides full training, ongoing support, curriculum, and materials. The position is based in Marietta, Georgia; relocation assistance is not provided.
