About The Position
Edward Jones is seeking a Lead for its Tax Team to provide technical leadership and strategic direction across tax strategy, compliance, and financial operations. The role oversees accurate execution, effective risk management, and operational excellence across complex tax and finance matters. The Lead partners with cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities, solve complex challenges, and improve processes. The position applies deep technical expertise to translate tax concepts into practical business solutions, guide decisions, influence strategy, develop talent, and support business performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in tax, financial analysis, or a related field.
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and financial modeling.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with comfort interacting with partners and senior stakeholders.
- Experience working with pass-through entities, partnerships, or complex ownership structures.
Nice To Haves
- CPA certification.
- Advanced degree.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical resource for complex tax and accounting matters.
- Review and oversee calculations, analyses, and reporting to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Partner with Tax, Legal, Treasury, Finance, and Technology teams on strategic initiatives.
- Identify risks, recommend solutions, and support the implementation of process improvements.
- Support implementation of new business programs, policies, and operational changes.
- Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, controls, and the overall stakeholder experience.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and review for Analysts and Senior Analysts.
