About The Position

At Vector Security, we are looking for a Lead Systems Technician to join our team. This role involves the servicing and/or installation of commercial integrated systems, including burglar and fire alarms, access control, and video. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2-years of fire detection and signaling systems experience (burglary, fire alarm, CCTV and access control).
  • Must possess a Valid Driver’s License.
  • Fire Alarm experience - Required.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with various individuals in a professional manner in order to provide superior customer service.
  • Understands software and programming for the primary manufacturers used by their home branch.
  • Possesses the skill to decipher/design integrated systems in conjunction with local jurisdiction requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years industry experience.
  • Fire Alarm License - Preferred.
  • ESA Certified Alarm Technician Level 2 or equivalent - Preferred.
  • NICET Fire or Video Level 2 - Preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Completes system servicing and/or installations of various types of integrated systems including integrated burg, card access, video, and fire alarm systems.
  • Troubleshoots integrated systems in high-end residential and commercial applications.
  • Demonstrates proficiency and understanding of the software and programming for the primary manufacturers used by the branch.
  • Employs logic and experience to work through system and integrated system issues.
  • Assists in design and deployment of projects in concert with local and state building codes and communicates effectively with AHJs.
  • Interacts and communicates at all levels of the organization and with external customers.
  • Shares knowledge, ideas, and solutions.
  • Reviews work of Entry Level through Level 2 technicians on shared job sites and provides training to correct any errors.
  • Responsible for the work done by all technicians on his/her jobs.
