About The Position

STR is seeking a Lead System Integration & Test (I&T) Engineer in their Woburn, MA office to support the integration and test of advanced multi-function RF systems. The role involves performing subsystem and system-level integration and testing of software and/or hardware components, including building test sets and test software to verify system interfaces and functionality against requirements. Familiarity with automated test tools, test plans and procedures, and contributing to system design packages is expected. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with experts in sensors development, data analytics, and cybersecurity, and to work closely with development teams in both a System Integration Lab (SIL) environment and field tests. Experience with Agile development processes and tools is desired. Candidates with experience building DoD systems and an interest in hands-on testing and fielding of novel systems are encouraged to apply. Both hardware and software-centric candidates are welcome. The role also involves integrating I&T processes and artifacts into the Digital Engineering (DE) workflow, utilizing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools for verification aspects and ensuring traceability.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated effective communication and collaboration skills to work across software, hardware, and systems engineering teams
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, mentor engineers, and influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • Comfort adapting to new programming languages, third-party software frameworks and innovative technologies
  • Proficiency in testing RF Systems
  • Familiarity with containerized software
  • Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or Labview
  • Familiarity with Ansible, Podman/Docker, Unit Test Frameworks, Artifactory
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience working in I&T
  • U.S. citizenship is needed by the U.S. Government for security clearance

  • Domain expertise in one or more of the following areas: Radar, Electronic Warfare, Antenna Apertures, Sensor Resource Management, Large-Scale Platform Test Systems, Cyber Physical Systems

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with domain experts, development teams, and systems engineers to design and develop hardware test sets and develop test software
  • Hands-on integration work in both hardware labs and field-test environments to ensure that software and hardware components are integrated into the system according to specification
  • Preparing and delivering briefings, familiarity with the execution of technical reviews (SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TIMS, TRRs)
  • Documenting and executing test plans and procedures
  • Capturing and communicating test results and metrics
