About The Position

L3Harris is actively seeking a Systems Engineer (SE) to work on future technologies for integration on a militarized G550 business jet. Tasks include: requirement development, design, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware/software for ground and airborne platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Software, Physics, etc.) and a minimum of 9 years related work experience, or Graduate Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Software, Physics, etc.) and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have active TS/SCI Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience integrating mission systems on airborne platforms.
  • Experience with network design, integration, configuration, and troubleshooting in complex lab, ground, airborne, tactical, or enterprise environments
  • Experience translating customer and operational needs into verifiable system, subsystem, and network requirements
  • Experience supporting integration of systems into DoD, customer, or secure network environments
  • Experience with network hardware and infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and secure communications systems
  • DOORS Experience
  • JIRA Experience
  • MBSE Experience
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills
  • Experience working with subcontractors and US Government customers
  • Experience working successfully both independently and in a team environment with the ability to lead teams through a system development and integration cycle

Responsibilities

  • Translate customer needs/requirements into unique verifiable system/subsystem level requirements.
  • Write system/subsystem requirements specs.
  • Develop system CONOPS and use cases.
  • Develop system architectures that incorporate new mission equipment into SILs and airborne systems for military customer.
  • Define requirement traceability methods.
  • Perform systems engineering trade studies.
  • Prepare effective presentations to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical professionals.
  • Ability to use standard Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Ability to operate within a Product Lifecycle Manager (PLM); TeamCenter preferred
  • Be focal point for conversation with the customer on technical issues.
