About The Position

Acron Aviation is seeking a Lead System Engineer to play a critical role in the design, implementation, introduction, and certification of a new surface alerting safety function. We are looking for a candidate that has strong project management skills and cutting-edge technical know-how. This role demands that you have the ability and desire to work with a variety of functions and teams to find solutions and then you must be comfortable implementing those solutions. Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. Preferably in the avionics industry
• Experience must include writing systems requirements and systems validation procedures
• Extensive experience in systems engineering, MatLab, Simulink, Python.
• Experience with programing languages C or C++ is welcomed.
• Knowledge of ARP-4754A and DO-178 processes
• Experience with avionics products (ACAS/TCAS/ACAS/ADS-B/SURF-A)

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge in ACAS or ADS-B functionality and associated applications that support
• Good interpersonal skills and can work with multiple teams and be able to work directly with Acron customers
• Demonstrates ability to take initiative to eliminate barriers and uses resources to ensure desired results
• Ability to lead teams through conflict, clarify objectives and develop consensus and buy-in as required
• Ability to see the big picture and advocates integration of systems within work group
• Uses business knowledge to assist others in understanding business decisions and their impact

Responsibilities

• Developing new systems designs, writing systems specifications, and supporting development.
• Developing system level architecture, creating and validating systems requirements, and support testing effort as needed.
• Developing system test procedures and test scripts, execute these tests, analyze results.
• Assisting with flight tests and analyzing results.
• Interfacing with customers, suppliers and internal functional groups (software engineering, hardware engineering, project lead, program management, customer support, etc.).
• Help maintain and develop engineering processes.
• Assistance in the design, test and maintenance of all products.
