About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect / Technical Architecture Lead to provide strategic technical leadership supporting Client mission systems, enterprise modernization, and architecture governance initiatives. This senior-level role serves as a trusted technical advisor to Government leadership, guiding enterprise architecture, modernization planning, systems integration, and technology strategy across multiple mission areas. The successful candidate will lead the development of enterprise architecture products, evaluate emerging technologies, assess technical risks, and ensure alignment between mission objectives, engineering solutions, security requirements, and modernization roadmaps. This position plays a critical role in integrating architecture, engineering, data, cybersecurity, and governance activities supporting Client enterprise transformation efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Data Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in one or more of the following: Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Systems Engineering, IT Modernization, Systems Integration, Technical Leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex technical initiatives within large enterprise environments.
  • Experience developing enterprise architecture products, reference architectures, transition plans, and technology roadmaps.
  • Experience evaluating technical alternatives, managing system interfaces and dependencies, and supporting architecture governance.
  • Experience advising executive leadership and Government stakeholders on technical strategy and modernization efforts.
  • Experience across multiple architecture domains including: Application Architecture, Data Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, Cybersecurity Architecture, Business/Mission Architecture.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in a related technical field.
  • Experience supporting TSA, DHS, transportation security, law enforcement, counterterrorism, or Federal CIO organizations.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks including: TOGAF, FEAF, DoDAF.
  • Familiarity with: DHS Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC), FITARA reviews, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) 2.0.
  • Experience with: ServiceNow, Ins-Pi / YouDesign, TBM, Proven Optics, SQL Server, SharePoint, Microsoft Power Platform, API/XML integrations, ETL processes, Enterprise architecture repositories.
  • One or more of the following certifications is highly desirable: TOGAF, FEAF, DoDAF, Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), CISSP, Security+, ITIL Foundation, Cloud certification (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), ServiceNow certification, Enterprise Architecture certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide enterprise architecture and technical leadership supporting Client mission systems and modernization initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain current-state (As-Is) and future-state (To-Be) enterprise architectures.
  • Create architecture transition plans, technology roadmaps, reference architectures, and modernization strategies.
  • Lead technical assessments, architecture reviews, and evaluation of solution alternatives.
  • Analyze mission, business, operational, application, data, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and technology requirements.
  • Evaluate system dependencies, interoperability requirements, and enterprise integration impacts.
  • Conduct architecture impact analyses, technical feasibility assessments, and risk evaluations.
  • Support architecture governance boards, technical review boards, and executive decision-making activities.
  • Provide recommendations regarding emerging technologies, cloud adoption, systems integration, automation, and modernization approaches.
  • Collaborate with Government stakeholders, program managers, engineers, cybersecurity teams, and system owners to ensure enterprise alignment.
  • Develop architecture decision records, technical documentation, executive briefings, and engineering recommendations.
  • Support modernization planning across mission systems, cybersecurity, domain awareness, incident management, and enterprise platforms.
  • Provide technical leadership across multiple architecture domains including application, data, infrastructure, cybersecurity, business, and mission architecture.
  • Must be U.S. Citizen as required by our federal client.
