About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking a Mid-Level Lead Systems Engineer/Analyst to support our Air & Missile Defense Business Unit. This role offers the potential opportunity to transition into a Team Lead role based on demonstrated technical expertise, leadership, and performance. The position involves developing and reviewing plans and reports to ensure system and software operate and meet requirements and/or design specifications. The analyst will review design, system, and test documentation, and provide technical expertise in data analyzed through the verification and validation process. Responsibilities include developing post-processing analysis tools and visualizations, performing detailed performance analyses, producing actionable insights, suggesting architectural or algorithmic enhancements, and performing remediations of V&V results. The role also involves recording and closing defects, participating in customer meetings, and covering assessments of software products through all phases of the development life cycle. The candidate must be able to configure necessary hardware and operating environments and learn and adapt to the customer’s environment and processes. Knowledge of military and software development industry standards, Microsoft Windows and Linux technologies, and structural repositories like GIT and SharePoint is required. Experience with automated testing environments, frameworks, and programming languages is also necessary.

Requirements

U.S. Citizenship.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience with software development, modeling and simulation, and/or data analysis.
5+ years of leading technical teams and driving complex technical initiatives.
Demonstrated desire to lead and develop a high-performance technical team.
Ability to perform evaluations of various software related products and cover assessments of software products through all phases of the development life cycle, including software specifications, design verification, coding, testing and results data validation.
Knowledge of military and software development industry standards, or other software standards and software requirement.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Linux technologies.
Good organizational skills in keeping structural repositories (GIT, SharePoint).
Experience with automated testing environment, frameworks, and programming languages.
Ability to learn and adapt to customer’s Environment and Processes.
Candidate must be knowledgeable of requirements and data used for analysis.
Must have an active Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience reviewing requirements and design documents.
Understanding of air and missile defense systems and Command and Control.
Fundamental skills in programming: C, C++, Java, Python, html, MatLab.

Responsibilities

Develop and review plans and reports to ensure system and software operates and meets requirements and/or design specifications.
Review design, system and test documentation related to requirements and test output.
Provide technical expertise in data analyzed through verification and validation process.
Utilize strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate with team members internal and external to the organization.
Develop post-processing analysis tools and visualizations to evaluate system performance.
Perform detailed performance analyses, produce actionable insights, and suggest architectural or algorithmic enhancements.
Perform remediations of V&V results as required.
Record and close defects found during analysis activities (Root Cause, JIRA Tickets, Anomalies Reporting).
Participate in customer meetings, reviews/walkthroughs.
Configure necessary hardware and operating environments as needed to complete analysis.
