About The Position

Wellington Management is seeking a Lead Systems Analyst for Mosaic Prism, its enterprise-wide solution for providing curated data from various sources. Prism is a key part of the firm’s data platform, enabling users to query data as logical entities and navigate relationships along predefined paths. The team is responsible for the architecture, availability, and curation of Prism datasets, as well as platform resiliency, deployment tooling, and self-service capabilities used across the firm. The Lead Systems Analyst will own technical analysis and delivery for key Prism data domains and platform capabilities, drive the quarterly roadmap across business partners, and provide technical leadership and mentorship to other analysts. The role combines hands-on data analysis and modeling, stakeholder engagement, delivery ownership, and production support, in collaboration with development and platform engineering teams. The position is based onsite in Boston, Massachusetts, four days per week, with flexibility to work remotely one day per week. The base salary range is USD 90,000–180,000. Wellington offers salary, variable compensation, benefits, and potentially a discretionary corporate bonus and/or incentives if eligible. Benefits include a retirement plan; health and wellbeing coverage; dental, vision, and pharmacy coverage; a health savings account; flexible spending accounts; commuter program; employee assistance program; life and disability insurance; adoption assistance; back-up childcare; tuition/CFA reimbursement; and paid time off, including leave of absence, paid holidays, volunteer, sick, and vacation time.

  • Practical Python experience for data analysis, troubleshooting, or related technical work.
  • Ability to read and write GraphQL and REST API queries for data access and investigation; service development experience is not required.
  • Working familiarity with AWS S3, Athena, and CloudWatch/OpenSearch for read-level data access and log investigation.

  • Define data requirements and guide enhancements to core platform components, including data persistence and caching, notification and messaging, and metadata deployment and publishing processes.
  • Work with data producers, consumers, business stakeholders, and application teams to onboard datasets and design logical data entities, keys, and relationships; assess downstream impacts of source-system changes and guide analysts through complex requirements.
  • Partner with Platform/Infrastructure engineering on deployment strategy, disaster recovery planning, and cloud migration initiatives affecting Prism.
  • Serve as a production-support escalation point, take ownership during incidents, investigate data and platform issues using SQL, Python, API queries, and cloud data and logs, and maintain support playbooks, troubleshooting guides, and administrative tooling.
  • Author and review Prism data-domain design and support documentation, and help establish team documentation and design standards.
