Requirements

Must hold and maintain certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or NCCT certification if practicing prior to 2009.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited or other nationally accredited educational program for surgical technologists.

Nice To Haves

3-5 years of experience as a surgical technologist.

Responsibilities

The Certified Surgical Technologist Lead provides clinical expertise, leadership, and operational oversight within the assigned specialty service.
This role supports high-quality patient care, staff development, efficient service operations, and strong interdisciplinary collaboration while aligning with hospital values, regulatory requirements, and current standards of practice.
