About The Position

As a Lead Support Staff, you’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in a residential group home setting by supporting the hiring manager and acting as a role model for your fellow staff. You’ll help people live safe, fulfilling lives while building trusting relationships that encourage independence and personal choice. No two days are the same—and every day brings the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Connecticut Driver’s License
  • Ability to obtain DDS Medication Certification, CPR, and First Aid
  • 1-year of residential experience

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with daily living skills such as personal care, meals, and routines
  • Supporting medical needs and appointments
  • Following individualized support and behavior plans
  • Encouraging community involvement and social engagement
  • Completing routine overnight safety checks (for overnight staff)
  • Working collaboratively as part of a compassionate, supportive team
