About The Position

Acts as a cross-functional partner to Operations, Sales, Marketing, Procurement, and Finance to drive portfolio optimization, vendor rationalization, and asset utilization through standardized SAP processes and performance reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years in Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, or Analytics roles with hands-on SAP experience (MM/SD/PP/FI or relevant modules).
  • Strong proficiency in SAP ERP processes and data mining tools
  • Solid analytical skills: Excel (advanced), data validation, reconciliation, and variance analysis.
  • Experience with inventory optimization, MRP sourcing optimization, and order/backorder management.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing capital/asset budgets and forecasting.
  • Exposure to portfolio rationalization, vendor consolidation, and category management.
  • Power BI/Tableau or similar analytics/visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of retail inventory processes and cycle counts.
  • Supply Chain, Business, Finance or related field; APICS/CSCP, CPIM, or PMP is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and automate SAP reports to support business requirements for growth, efficiency, and decision-making.
  • Create and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for SAP processes to ensure accuracy, alignment, and scalability across the business.
  • Prepare Canadian GDE (cylinder asset packages) budget and manage annual GDE and Minor budgets.
  • Track budget performance, forecast variances, and recommend corrective actions in partnership with Finance and Operations.
  • Lead and support inventory reduction initiatives.
  • Conduct dead stock reviews and disposition strategies.
  • Perform MRP controller cleanup and parameter optimization.
  • Review open orders/backorders — monitor and close unnecessary requirements; reallocate inventory to demand locations.
  • Review in-transit inventory to accelerate flow and reduce working capital.
  • Support retail inventory reconciliations and ensure accurate, efficient physical inventory counts.
  • Partner with Marketing to streamline the product portfolio; support rationalization and the creation of a “Triple A” (best-in-class) offer that aligns with customer needs and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to rationalize vendors, promote A-tier suppliers, and identify opportunities for cost savings and standardization.
  • Work with Sales and Operations to maximize usage of internal assets prior to sourcing additional assets; develop visibility and controls to reduce unnecessary purchases and rentals.
  • Serve as the organization’s Material Master Data Expert, responsible for creating, maintaining, auditing, and optimizing all material master data within SAP.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of key fields such as MRP parameters, procurement type, valuation, classification, units of measure, and material group assignments.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Marketing, Procurement, and Finance to ensure material data aligns with business strategy, product portfolio updates.
