About The Position

L3 Harris is seeking a Supply Chain Lead, Supply Chain Management to join our Supply Chain and Materiel Management (SCMM) organization at our Huntsville, AL location. This role reports to the Sr. Manager of Supply Chain for Capacity. In this role you will be part of a specialized team focused on developing and implementing strategically significant supplier capacity expansion plans. As a result, this role will work directly with internal leadership across departments- and leadership across our supply base- to develop and deliver on targeted sourcing plans that meet or exceed aggressively growing product demand targets. This role requires 15% travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant supply chain experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related supply chain experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related supply chain experience.

  • Direct experience in either a labor CAM (cost account management) role or supply chain program/project management role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets or negotiating contracts over $300M within the defense acquisition environment (i.e subject to stringent regulatory requirement such as FAR/DFARS, AS9100, MDA CUI, SPRS, etc).
  • Direct experience supporting solid rocket motor programs or new supplier/material qualifications under schedule pressures.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex projects with minimal oversight. Strong knowledge of project management methods utilized within the defense acquisition environment (integrated master scheduling, earned value management, and cost account management).

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support to Senior Manager, Supply Chain for Capacity and Senior PMs across a portfolio of supply base capacity expansion projects.
  • Manage project cost accounts for supply chain labor- includes baselining, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Monitor project hours and create standard tracking activities.
  • Compiles and audits SCM financial reporting needed to report variance to baseline, like material EAC (estimate at completion) reports, material forecasts, and CAM (cost account management) inputs using various software applications.
  • Review project schedules using MS Project, CAM (cost account management) tools, IMS (integrated master schedules), and financial reporting to identify/escalate high risk material qualification and supplier expansion plans; Recommend mitigation plans and track improvement.
  • Contribute to quick-turn executive-level reporting on project overviews, status, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Propose/document workflow changes within the Supply Chain org needed to improve cost/schedule performance.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders in support of overall program execution.
  • Provide guidance, coaching training to SCM personnel; Assist in establishing priorities and coordinating program activities as directed.
