About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Lead Supply Chain Management Analyst to join its Materials Management Organization (MMO) in Huntsville, Alabama. This role is crucial for producing Boeing’s Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) seeker, a component of the world’s most advanced air defense system, which was recently recognized as the 2025 “Coolest Thing Made in Alabama.” The position involves guiding integrated product design/build teams, leading cross-functional teams in new tool introduction, presenting performance analysis to senior management, investigating complex ordering conditions, and developing new ordering methodologies. The analyst will also ensure compliance with inventory management policies, contractual requirements, and governmental regulations, create complex schedules, develop materials management estimates for new business proposals, and identify/implement SCM best practices. This role requires leading teams, documenting, implementing, and maintaining improvements, and operates under minimal direction.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in supply chain and/or materials management
  • 5+ years' experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years' experience with Material Requirements Planning, including the use of Compass Contract or a similar MRP system
  • Experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years' experience using SQL

Responsibilities

  • Guides integrated product design/build teams by independently representing Supply Chain Management (SCM) plans and strategies to arrive at optimal solutions
  • Leads cross-functional teams in the introduction of new tools and techniques
  • Presents analysis of performance measurements to senior managers
  • Investigates complex ordering conditions
  • Develops and implements new ordering methodologies
  • Ensures organizational compliance with inventory management policies, contractual requirements and governmental regulations
  • Creates complex schedules
  • Develops materials management estimates and schedules for new business proposals
  • Identifies, analyzes, develops and implements best practices, processes and procedures for SCM
  • Recommends changes to new or existing corporate and divisional policies
  • Leads teams and is responsible for overseeing, documenting, implementing and maintaining the improvements they contribute
  • Works under minimal direction
