About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring a Lead Supplier Program Management Specialist (Level 5) for its Space Launch Systems (SLS) team in Huntsville, Alabama. This role provides technical and business guidance to critical suppliers and programs and leads strategic supply-chain activities. The position is expected to be 100% onsite and is for first shift. Travel may be required up to 25% of the time. The successful candidate must be able to obtain access to a NASA facility and meet U.S. export control requirements as a U.S. Person. Candidates must satisfy Boeing’s Conflict of Interest assessment process. Relocation assistance is not available; candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense. The position does not require a security clearance and is not safety sensitive. Boeing will not sponsor employment visa status.

Requirements

• Technical bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. degree. A technical degree is defined as a four-year degree or higher in a mathematics, scientific, or information technology field of study.
• More than 5 years of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action.
• More than 5 years of experience creating, interpreting, and/or enforcing technical requirements.
• Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements as a U.S. Person.
• Ability to obtain access to a NASA facility.
• Must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest assessment process.

• More than 10 years of experience working with suppliers in a technical capacity.
• More than 10 years of experience negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance.
• More than 10 years of experience interpreting and/or enforcing contract terms and conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and business guidance to critical suppliers and programs.
• Lead strategic supply-chain activities to manage work with suppliers and the program.
• Manage supplier and stakeholder relationships and performance throughout all contract phases.
• Lead supplier assessments and develop recovery plans, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
• Lead development of company or business-unit procurement strategies.
• Provide oversight, guidance, and verification of work-movement projects.
• Communicate supplier and organizational performance plans, risks, issues, and opportunities to stakeholders.
• Manage work-movement plans.
