About The Position

Under the direction of the Manager for Adult Day Services, Lead & Supervising LSIs will perform the duties of the Life Skills instructor, as well as supervise a caseload of Life Skills Instructors (LSI). This position will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on key indicators of programs success. In addition, this role directly engages with individuals using prepared Individual Support Plans (ISP) to implement effective strategies with the intent of increasing skills necessary to gain independence in the home and community settings. Lead & Supervising LSIs are further responsible for material management, assisting the Program Specialist in planning and adapting treatment resources to match individual outcomes, and reviewing data and documentation.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder using principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in a 3-year span), valid PA driver’s license, current vehicle inspection, up-to-date vehicle registration, and proof of adequate insurance coverage required.
  • Required passing of all training and pre-employment regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to clearances, PPD testing, physical, and drug screening.
  • Successful completion of Safe and Positive Approaches Training required
  • Demonstrated opportunities to provide leadership, direct others, or manage detailed projects/assignments.
  • Completed training and certification for Registered Behavior Technician within 180 days of hire
  • Successful completion of all pre-employment requirements
  • Implements principles of Applied Behavior Analysis when supporting individuals with Autism

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensures timely and regular completion of program processes (material management, data collection and transfer, billing, service log completion, etc.)
  • Works with the scheduler to coordinate staff and individual schedules; and completes approval processes for staff timecards, travel reimbursement, etc.
  • Knowledgeable about all program regulations and ensures staff compliance with all regulations
  • Develops performance metrics, measures staff performance using appropriate tools and rubrics, and conducts assigned performance reviews as scheduled
  • Identifies, addresses, and manages employee performance discrepancies, disciplinary issues, and training deficiencies for department members as well as implementing performance management practices
  • Coordinates program and individual specific induction trainings and subsequent onboarding practices
  • Attends and participates in team meetings, communicates, and works collaboratively with staff, supervisors and maintains communication with parents, guardians, and any other providers, as needed
  • Reports to supervisors, regularly and accurately, progress and activities towards meeting essential functions and other identified goals
  • Familiarizes self with most recent research/practice in Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Provides coaching to team members in a supportive and collaborative manner; reviews and implements coaching and feedback from others to improve performance
  • Performs other duties, as assigned
