About The Position

The Lead Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects, leading a team of subcontractors and construction workers. This role involves providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure efficient project execution. The Lead Superintendent will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and internal teams to maintain high-quality standards, adherence to project plans, and compliance with building codes and regulations.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a superintendent.
  • Proven experience in construction project management, preferably in the field.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
  • Must have strong knowledge and experience with all applicable Florida building codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and construction management software.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA certification and other relevant certifications/licenses are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and construction crews, providing clear direction and guidance.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality control measures on the construction site.
  • Monitor project progress, schedule adherence, and budget compliance; report regularly to project managers.
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with construction plans, specifications, and building codes.
  • Coordinate deliveries and logistics to maintain an efficient workflow on site.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction, addressing them promptly to minimize impact on project timelines.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets company standards and client expectations.
